Two Piano Solos, Two Levels: Just as I Am

Last week, I wanted to arrange “Just as I Am” for a student. So, I compiled a couple of verses and went to save… “This file already exists.” Oh wait! I already *had* an arrangement of the song! However, it was a slightly higher level. 😉 But, since it was in the archives, I brushed it up a little and decided to give you two variations of the favorite invitation hymn–two different levels.

And then the slightly more advanced version:

The Gospel Train | Early Intermediate Piano

I love old spirituals. One of these days, I just might make an entire collection with them. We shall see. 😉 Until then, I enjoy arranging them one by one. Here’s “The Gospel Train” for early intermediate pianists.

For those pianists out there, here is a sample. This piece is only $.99 at WAJN.

Hallelujah! What a Savior | Piano Solo

When I was about seven, we started going to a new church. If we had sung “Hallelujah! What a Savior” before then, I honestly don’t remember it. This was the pastor’s favorite song, so we got to know if very well. I used to play it all exuberant and loud. But when I got to reading the words…reflective is also a good style for it.

One of my favorite things about this arrangement is that it is arranged using simple timing (no eighth notes).
